HWA’s experience and knowledge in all aspects of governance in Local Government is second to none.
Having led and advised upon high profile projects including regional amalgamations, the establishment of regional councils and most recently restoring good governance to the dismissed City of Perth, HWA possess a forensic understanding of the governance frameworks and systems that are necessary to facilitate ethical, sensible and efficient local government.
Governance in local government is about the basics. Agendas and minutes, customer service, policy development, internal audit oversight, and effective communication between the community, Council and the executive and staff all form part of a local government’s “governance toolbox”.
